Kevin Miller has been playing the trombone professionally since he was in high school. Starting at the age of fifteen, he toured the state of Florida as a member of the Sunday Brass and regularly performed with local jazz ensembles and dance bands. He then went on to study trombone and euphonium performance at the University of Central Florida under Mr. Roy Pickering. While in Orlando, Kevin worked as a freelance artist in multiple styles including swing, salsa, classical, and pop/rock. He also co-founded the jazz pop fusion group Last Word. After college, Kevin toured the country as a trombonist with the GMA Dove award-winning group TRUTH. From there, he went on to serve as Music Director at area churches and was regularly invited as a guest conductor and performer at local music events and festivals. Kevin has also been on staff as a Brass Instructor at Sebastian River High School since 2003. Currently, he teaches private lessons in Indian River and Brevard County and performs in several local groups including The Central Florida Winds, Swingtime, The Beachcruisers Showband, and the Treasure Coast Brass Trio. Kevin owns a local publishing company and resides in Vero Beach with his wife Beth, two boys Kyle and Kamden, and dog Rookie.
