Rudolf
E. Radocy, bass clarinet, received his BS from The Ohio State University,
his MM from The University of Michigan, and his EdD from The Pennsylvania
State University. He was a professor of music education and music therapy
at The University of Kansas for 29 years, and also taught instrumental and
vocal music in Michigan public schools. With academic specialties in music
psychology, musical acoustics, and musical measurement and evaluation, he
published numerous articles in professional journals and co-authored four
editions of Psychological Foundations of Musical Behavior. His honors include
the Music Educators National Conference's Senior Researcher Award, membership
in the Kansas Music Educators Association Hall of Fame, and recognition
as an outstanding alumnus by Ohio State and Penn State. His performing experience
includes the Columbus Symphony Orchestra, major ensembles at his universities,
and various community organizations. He currently resides in Vero Beach
with his wife, Dr. Wanda Lathom-Radocy, and pursues his second career in
oceanic environmental observation. |
